I found my time participating on the MCT full-time Computer Applications for the Workplace programme a rewarding experience. The learning environment was relaxed and informal with great interaction between programme participants and staff. The course instructors were engaging and supportive offering advice beyond the scope of the immediate course. All assessment work was thoroughly checked for accuracy before submission which was important to me as English is not my native language.

The reason why I would recommend this course to anyone who has interest in IT is because the teachers at MCT are experts in this field, very patient and they make sure that everybody has acquired the knowledge and skills before moving to the next module.

As a recently returned emigrant from Australia I was at a loss as to what my immediate future would hold. Having heard of the computer programme being delivered at MCT I contacted the centre and was welcomed onto the course. Given the way the course is delivered the workload is more than manageable which allows me to get on with my life.Following this course at MCT I am going to Sligo IT to undertake a degree course in Systems and Networking which will open up more opportunities for me.

Before starting with MCT, I had no computer skills. I wanted to become computer literate in order to return to work after a 26 year absence. Initially I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to keep up, but the tutors made learning easy, with their direct method of teaching. Each module acted as a stepping stone to the next. Mohill SEC Energy Workshop

November 14, 2017, 4:00pm - November 14, 2017, 7:00pm

On Tuesday the 14th November Mohill SEC will be holding an Energy Workshop as the next step of the project. Mel Gavin, Energy Mentor from IT Sligo and Donal Quinn of Leitrim Warmer Homes will be there on the day to explain to business and home owners the next phase of the project and what Mohill SEC can do for them. There will be 2 workshops on the day: Residential @ 4pm Mohill Enterprise Centre Business @5:30pm Mohill Enterprise Centre
