Discover all the opportunities that are on offer at Mohill Enterprise Centre Open Day on Friday 28th April 10am -5.30pm. Everyone is welcome to drop in throughout the day to see the wonderful IT facilities and hear about the courses on offer, and the hotdesking and remote working facilities in this thriving Community Hub. The event is taking place in support of the Government’s national campaign promoting Remote Work and showcasing all these hubs as great places for investment, enterprise and remote working.
The Mohill Enterprise Centre opened in 1998 with the broad objective of improving employment and training opportunities for people living in Mohill and surrounding areas. At that time, it had 6 Industrial units, office accommodation and training facilities. Since 2018 with the assistance of numerous government grant supports it has been transformed into a modern energy efficient Learning and IT hub with high speed broadband, office space, hot desking facilities and media rooms for small businesses and remote working. It can also facilitate 24/7 access to its clients.
Enterprise Centre Manager John Mannion speaking to the Observer says “Our partnership with Mayo Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board has been critical to the success of the Centre along with the support we receive from the Department of Rural & Community Development, Department of Social Protection, Pobal, Western Development Commission(Connected Hubs) Leitrim Development Company(Leader funding), and Leitrim County Enterprise Board who assist with the funding and delivery of a number of training courses and other supports. I also want to acknowledge our Board, staff and students and the local community who have helped to grow our Centre into the vibrant, progressive, thriving community Hub it has become. We want to warmly welcome the whole community to our Showcase Open Day on friday 28th April. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has ever wondered what happens in the Centre to come along and see the facilities and hear all about what we offer.”
